CUSTOMIZE WITH TEXT

What you'll make:
A cover with your name, initials, or any word embossed or cut into the surface.

What you'll need:
A free Tinkercad account
The Kalumna cover file (downloaded from the DOCUMENTS page)

Import the cover STL file using the Import button (top right)
In the shape panel on the right, find Text under Basic Shapes
Drag it onto the workplane
Click the text shape and type your word in the text field on the left panel
Choose your font, (Tinkercad has a small but decent selection of fonts)
Adjust the height of the letters to around 2–3mm so they print cleanly
Position the text on the surface of the cover using the arrow keys and the elevation handle (the black cone above the shape)
To emboss (raised text): leave the text as a solid and group it with the cover
To engrave (sunken text): change the text shape to a Hole using the toggle in the top right, then group with the cover
Export as STL or 3MF and send to your slicer
